Engagement Australia is pleased to announce the winners of the 2022 Engagement Australia Excellence Awards.
Supported by sponsors UniBank and the Department of Industry, Science and Resources, the Engagement Australia Excellence Awards focus on outstanding nation-building initiatives, demonstrating far-reaching impact and innovation, in all sectors and aspects of the Australian economy and community.
At a gala dinner held in Sydney as part of the Engagement Australia Conference program, the work of 24 finalists across 7 award categories were celebrated. The winning submissions were:
- Excellence in Community Engagement:
Victoria University, Victoria Police Diversity Recruitment Program
- Excellence in Indigenous Engagement:
La Trobe University, ‘Baggarrook Yurrongi’ (Women’s Journey) – Improving the health of First Nations mothers and babies
- Outstanding Engagement for Student Learning:
Monash University, Monash Student Teams Initiative
- Outstanding Engagement for Research Impact:
University of Newcastle, Transforming schooling through Quality Teaching Rounds
- Excellence in Student and Alumni Engagement:
University of Queensland, UQ ChangeMakers
- Excellence in International Engagement (dual winners)
Monash University, Revitalising Informal Settlements and their Environments (RISE) Program;
Curtin University, The Global Chinese Accounting Association: Enhancing Sino-Australian Relations through collaborative research, engagement and learning
- Outstanding Leadership in Engagement:
Danielle Harvey, UQ Art Museum
