Elective Classification

Carnegie Elective Classification for Community Engagement for Australia

The elective classification process offers participating universities the opportunity to conduct a structured self-study to capture a full picture of the various elements of institutional commitment to community engagement. This involves data collection and documentation of important aspects of institutional mission, identity and commitments.

The Classification process is open to those institutions holding full membership, with reclassification taking place every 6 years.

In the 12 months preceding Classification, members are supported to build their application through a series of workshops and information sessions.
