2023 Conference Theme: Engaged Universities – The Next 20 Years
Abstracts are welcomed from higher education academic, teaching and professional staff, students, industry, and community representatives on the following topics:
- Case studies on Evaluation of Partnership and Impact: share your cases related to Evaluating, measuring, and demonstrating social impact.
- Case studies on Community Engagement in Practice: share your cases on 4 different sections:
- Engaging with Community
- Engaging with Industry
- Engaging with Government
- Engaging across Industry, Government and Community
- Paper Poster Session
Format
Case studies
To create an inclusive forum for discussion and learning we strongly encourage copresenting of case studies by university engagement leaders and their community partners.
Each case study presentation will be allocated 15 minutes total, and we recommend allocating time at the end for audience Q&A.
Paper Poster session
A1 Posters should display: research outcomes, describe ongoing projects, and elaborate the experience of University-Community Engagement. Posters may include photographs, statistical tables, figures, charts, or other graphic material relevant to the project.
Presenters must be available at their poster to answer questions. Poster presentation will take place Tuesday 21 November and Wednesday 22 November.
Submissions
Interested presenters must submit a brief abstract of their topic, no more than 500 words. Please include the name of the section you are submitting to (Evaluation and Impact or Community Engagement in Practice and which of the 4 sections). Please include a title and key contact information with your submissions and send via email to admin@engagementaustralia.org.au by COB Friday 6th October. Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection of their submission by Friday 20th October.
