Join us on the first Networking Session of the Carnegie Community of Practice for 2023!

In this first session for the year, you will hear from Charlene Edwards, Executive Officer of the Melbourne Social Equity Institute, about The Community Fellows Program.

Melbourne Social Equity Institute’s Community Fellows Program recognises that community organisations are often best placed to undertake the research most relevant to their organisation and the communities they serve. Piloted in 2016 and consolidated following evaluation in 2017, the program was developed in recognition that community organisations possess deep and extensive practice knowledge, but often lack the capacity, time, and resources to test, codify and share this knowledge.

Come and hear Charlene Edwards present learnings to date on how she navigated existing University of Melbourne systems to enable the establishment of the program. She will also speak about the importance of mutual benefit and finally discuss the potential transferability of the model to other settings.

If you did not register for one of these events in 2022 but would love to gain insight into best-practice community engagement, please attend.

Registration is online and free of charge, with no limit on the number of registrations.
